GHOSTVAN WILL YOU LIGHT MY BIRTHDAY CANDLES?

My whole life I always dreamed of having the Volkswagon van you can live in (I've already owned my other dream car, Burgundy 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis.) And fuck, that was before even having to pay rent. I'm either getting one by next year or making my next spring trip Cape Town, South Africa.

AN OLD REMEDY.

To reduce the swelling and discoloration of a large wack to the elbow I learned that if you put a wrap of chopped onions over night while sleeping it reduces either by about half. On this occasion the store was closed and an old woman told us the next best thing if we're onion-less is slices of potato with salt.

(Proper Euro-gear? Peep the jeans.)

"C'MON, HE REALLY WANTS ONE." (Translated to me)

The blind fella on the right (from an explosion 20 years ago) heard us jibber-jabbering about photography and wanted a photo real bad for his kids. No problem, I got you! It's funny because I bought a regular camera as well as a polaroid and you have no idea how everyones eyes bulged out when the prints emerged out of the camera. None of them had ever heard of or seen such a thing. Almost any time I took a shot I took two and gave one away of an almost identical pose. (It meant so much to them. My buddy Dave described it accurately saying it meant as much to them as someone giving him a David Bowie concert ticket) These people put them on top of their mantels above the fireplace, in their teachers lounge, in their 100 year old bar which was bare of any other photos. It was funny to see what would happen when I gave a whole group one photo, and since no one could decide who could keep it they almost always put it up wherever I shot it, for the whole town to see. I'm talking about a town so small every kid knew my name before I got there. Incredibile!

KILLING THE GAME!

TEACHERS LOUNGE.

There is a secret teachers lounge for men only, out the back door and in a secret shed. Complete with couches, a table, a map of Bulgaria, and a Zagorka 3 liter bottle filled with home-made wine. 9:30 am before we even hit the cafeteria.

YEAH BUDDY!!!

The best thing about Bulgaria is you can go to the discotheque between 4 and 7 pm and the 5th graders are crushing it on the dancefloor.

(Bonus points for Albins ever-evolving Euro gear. Sweatshirt reading, "Fashion Time Here." Sick!)

KNUT HAMSUN TYPE SHIT.

(First photo: "I Want To Believe." Haha)
